HOW TO GENERATE SBI DEBIT CARD SECURITY PIN/PASSWORD?

    In past days we had get password along with ATM card by the post. But now because of the security reasons banks were not sending password/Security PIN along with ATM card. So they are giving guidelines to Generate password our self by the different Methods. Those methods clearly explained below, follow these instructions to Generate/Change your Debit Card PIN.

There are 4 ways to generate security pin for SBI Debit Card.

1.       SMS request method.

2.       ATM through PIN Generation method.

3.       IVRS method.

4.       Through Net Banking method.

SMS Request Method:

SMS request method is one of the easiest way to generate pin, follow the below steps.

Take your mobile phone.

Send a massage to 567676, through your registered mobile number.

The way of sending SMS is,

“PIN <space>last 4 digits of your debit card number<space>last 4 digits of your account number”.

For example,

“PIN 1312 5251” here 1312 is the last 4 digits of debit card, and 5251 is the last 4 digits of account number.

Then you will get OTP to your registered mobile number, this one-time PIN valid for 2 days only. And cardholder should have to create new PIN by using this one time PIN at any State Bank ATM.

Steps to create/change pin in ATM IS,

Go to any State Bank ATM insert your card and select “Banking” option

And then select “PIN change” option

Enter your one time PIN, next

Enter New PIN, and again Reenter New PIN.

So this is the way of generate new PIN for your debit card though SMS.

ATM through PIN Generation Method:

Process to generate PIN through ATM.

Go to the ATM insert your Debit Card.

Select  “PIN Generation” option.

Enter 11 digit account number and confirm.

Then you can see a massage will be displayed on the screen that the PIN shall be received on the registered mobile number. Confirm the same while confirming it you will get OTP or one time PIN on registered mobile number. Now cardholder has to create a new PIN by using that OTP, next process would be same like above method.

IVRS Method:

In this method you have to call SBI Customer Service Centre from your registered mobile number.

Contact numbers are,

1800 425 3800/1800 1122 11/080-26599990.

Follow the steps from the voice choose correct option to Generate PIN .

It will ask you to enter your full Debit Card number and account number. And you will get OTP same like above methods. And OTP will be valid for 2 days.

So go to the ATM and change your PIN as well. The remaining process will be same like above methods

Insert your card and select “BANKING ”.

And then select “PIN CHANGE”.

Enter your OTP, create new PIN and recreate new PIN and go ahead with your further transactions.

PIN Generation through Internet Banking:

To go ahead through Internet Banking accountholder should have Net Banking account Login details.

Login to SBI banking portal https://www.onlinesbi.com using your Net Banking Username and Password

Select “e-services” and then select “ATM card services” and then “ATM PIN Generation”

Choose One Time Password or Profile Password for authentication.

Select Debit Card which your account number linked.

Select Debit Card for which you want to change/create the PIN.

Enter first 2 digits of the PIN as your choice and remaining 2 digits will be send to your registered mobile number.

Enter all the 4 digits as a PIN for the further process, because this will be the new PIN.

If you want to change it again, go to the ATM Centre follow the above steps.
